'Tendulkar Was Once Again..'- Ex-KKR Player On Young Pacer's Performance vs SRH

Arjun Tendulkar displayed nerves of steel as he guided Mumbai Indians (MI) to a 14-run victory over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 clash on Tuesday. 

The five-time IPL champions had set a challenging target of 193 runs for SRH to chase, but Tendulkar's last-over heroics and his impressive figures of 1/18 in 2.5 overs ensured that the visitors registered their third win on a trot.

Reflecting on the match, cricket commentator Aakash Chopra praised Tendulkar for delivering under pressure and denying SRH a win.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Chopra remarked that the burden of steering Mumbai Indians towards victory fell on Tendulkar's shoulders yet again, but this time it was Arjun and not Sachin.

"Tendulkar was once again under pressure to take Mumbai's wagon to its destination. This Tendulkar was not Sachin but Arjun," said Chopra.

Nevertheless, he reckoned that the southpaw showed remarkable precision with his aim and executed wide yorkers that curved a bit while he was tasked with defending 20 runs in the final over.

"Arjun's aim was absolutely accurate. 20 runs were required off the last over, the ball was in Arjun Tendulkar's hand and he bowled very well - wide yorkers where the ball was tailing a little,” added the Indian veteran.

Following his sensational performance, Tendulkar became emotional as he spoke about his mindset and plans after the game. 

Expressing his delight at securing his first IPL wicket, the young prodigy revealed that he had focused solely on his plan and executed it perfectly. He also shared that his strategy involved bowling wide and forcing the batter to hit towards the longer side, which ultimately proved successful.

The 23-year-old's performance against SRH has once again put the spotlight on the young cricketer, who has been making steady progress in the domestic circuit. With his impressive skills on display, Tendulkar is certainly a name to watch out for in the coming day.
