Former KKR Star Urges LSG To Include 'This' Batter in Playing XI For Crucial Clash vs RR

Today, KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants will have a mountain to climb in front of them, as they will take on the table-toppers Rajasthan Royals in the 26th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season.

Despite KL Rahul exhibiting his consistency, the Super Giants top order hasn't quite fired recently. While Kyle Mayers has blown hot and cold, Deepak Hooda, one of their star performers last season, has let them down.

Considering their top-order's inconsistent returns, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has advised LSG to include Quinton de Kock in their playing XI for today's face-off against the Royals.

Furthermore, the ex-KKR player urged the LSG batting unit to show intent, playing with a fearless attitude in the game.

Here's what Chopra stated

"Show a little intent in batting. Play Quinton de Kock at the top. Deepak Hooda must fire. It will be difficult if he doesn't score runs because he hasn't scored any runs till now in this tournament and he has got a few innings and is batting at a very good number."

Lucknow Super Giants are placed second in the IPL 2023 points table with three wins in five games. However, considering the cut-throat competition for the four playoff spots, they will aim at being consistent with their performance in the tournament.
