Australia's David Warner is one of the few cricketers to make the transition from T20 cricket to Test cricket with ease. An explosive opener, Warner has made a name for himself across formats, winning accolades and laurels for his performances in international and franchise cricket.

However, Warner's batting in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Capitals has raised several eyebrows despite being amongst the top run-getters this season with 164.

Appointed captain for the Capitals this season, Warner's strike rate in all his fifties this season is in question by former players and critics. Amidst this, former India bowler S Sreesanth, while speaking to official broadcasters, has backed Warner to return to his aggressive self and silence his critics for good.

Here's what Sreesanth said

“The hunger for runs never dies for David Warner. He’s a typical Aussie, who’s always determined to dominate the cricket pitch. I’ve enjoyed bowling to him as he’s been one of the toughest batters to bowl to.”

Apart from Sreesanth, former Australian pacer, Shaun Tait has also put his weight behind Warner to come good this season in the remaining games.

While the 36-year-old is high on the batting charts, his team Delhi Capitals sits at the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table with four losses and zero points.

Capitals travel to Bengaluru to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
