The fourth Test between India and Australia in Ahmedabad is well-poised, with the hosts needing a mammoth 445 runs, with ten wickets in hand, to surpass the visitors' first innings total of 480 runs. However, they will back themselves for a clinical batting performance, as the Ahmedabad pitch has been a paradise to bat on, unlike the surfaces we witnessed in the first three games.

As batters have made merry on this track, fans and experts believe that it's a golden opportunity for Virat Kohli to score a daddy hundred and put an end to his prolonged miserable run in Test cricket.

Meanwhile, legendary former Australian opener Matthew Hayden reckons that Kohli should take notes from Usman Khawaja and work on his temperament to score big on this pitch.

As quoted by India Today, Hayden backed Kohli to capitalise on the favourable batting conditions and play a memorable knock in Ahmedabad Test.

Here's what he stated

"If you are going to do the crime, you have to do the time, as they say. And Virat Kohli has to do that. He has to be convicted of success and convicted of spending large periods of time, like Usman Khawaja at the crease. Only then, he will be locked up. His concentration has been a little scratchy, but technically he has been solid. He is capable of doing it."

Despite showcasing good technique against spin, Kohli has found himself short of runs, managing only 111 runs at a poor average of 22.20. So, the Indian talisman will be keen to get some runs under his belt when he enters to bat during India's first innings.
