India's hard-hitting batter Rishabh Pant's car accident has ruled him out of action for the next few months. The left-hander has been an integral member of the Indian setup for quite some time as he has played crucial knocks for his side during their previous wins.

One of the heroes of the team when they got better off Australia in the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy after chasing down a mammoth total of above 300 where the Southpaw was the hero with the bat.

However, now, former Australian skipper Ian Chappell has mentioned that the 25-year-old is going to be a huge miss for the hosts as he has the ability to change the game in a matter of time.

"India are really going to really miss Rishabh Pant. The Australians will be happy. He is a counter attacker, the guy who keep you awake are guys who score quickly and changes game in one session. Pant was one such player.

"Why is Ashwin likely to be the threat? Because he is a smart cricketer. Ashwin will always be a problem. Now, if you let him bowl the way he wants to bowl, you are in trouble. He will be a threat to Australia throughout. They have got to be proactive."

India's first Test against Australia will begin on 9th February in Nagpur after which three more would be held.
