England's number three Ollie Pope is certainly enjoying his position at the top as the right-hander has been influential in the 'Bazball' era led by skipper Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

The 24-year-old has had his best at the number 3 position scoring 639 runs across 16 innings with four fifties and two hundreds averaging 42.60.

While the Surrey player was optimistic about keeping the position, he mentioned that he has maintained the consistency which helped him shed the fear of losing his wicket. Thus, helping him bat freely.

"I feel I’ve been a bit more consistent, I’ve stopped fearing getting out,"

He was all-praise for the duo for whom he said have supported him to play the way he wants.

"The two guys at the top have helped me grow, not confidence but the freedom to express myself and how I want to play. It’s been great for me, hopefully I keep that consistency,"

Further, he wants to ensure he nails down that very spot where he has had his best in the recent times.

"I would love to tie down No.3, make that my own. My main priority is to keep churning out runs at No.3."

Ollie Pope will next be seen in the third Test against Pakistan at Karachi from 17th of December with series already in the bag for England.
