Harmanpreet Kaur led India Women to achieve the impossible, ending Australia Women's unbeaten T20I streak in 2022 last evening in the second T20I of the five-match series.

Smriti Mandhana rose to the occasion and slammed a 49-ball 79 to help the home side tie the match, chasing 188 to win.

In the super over, too, she scored 13 runs, which set India a target of 21, while Australia fell short by five runs in the end, thus levelling the series 1-1.

Australian skipper Alyssa Healy called the T20I an excellent advertisement for women's cricket despite her side being on the losing side in the post-match conference.

Healy, who scored a quick-fire 25 in the game, also discussed factors resulting in Australia's first T20I loss in 2022.

Here's what Healy stated

"Missed a bit with the ball tonight and they cashed in. What a great advertisement for women's cricket this has been, with 40,000 people here tonight,

"I think we missed a bit with the ball, gave them a chase. We did well to hang in there in the end and get it to the Super Over, India were all over us in that chase. We fought well to get us to that position, fought till the very end."

The action will shift to Braboune Stadium for the remaining three T20Is, starting December 14.
