It is a common ploy by the captain and sides to implement some tactical decisions in order to get the better of the opposition while assessing the situation of the match. Taking the name of MS Dhoni, getting the best out of his players is a common trait this man possesses. However, in the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS), MS did something to stop the visitors from putting in their plans.

It was during the 10th over of the first innings when Ruturaj Gaikwad lost his wicket to Sikandar Raza and next man slotted to come in was Ajinkya Rahane but CSK instead of the right-hander sent in Shivam Dube who is a left-hander. The idea was to keep left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar off the attack so that they can take on other bowlers.

This brilliance forced Shikhar Dhawan to use his other bowlers Liam Livingstone and Sikandar Raza which helped them get some more runs.

Not just this, when Dube got out, Moeen Ali came in and later, when he left Ravindra Jadeja walked in to frustrate the opposition.

Meanwhile, Devon Conway was batting brilliantly at the other end to keep the run-rate on the higher side.

In the end, MS himself came to bat and scored two massive sixes to take the score to 200. However, Conway who remained unbeaten till the end was eight short of what could have been his maiden IPL century.
