'Chasing a Game is Heroizing...,' David Miller on Vijay Shankar Blitz

With three down for 93, Gujarat Titans (GT) were in a fix when the duo of Vijay Shankar and David Miller entered the field in pursuit of 180 which was set by their opponents Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after batting first. However, the difficult task in the end looked like bread and butter as they finished the game with 2.1 overs to spare.

After the game, big-hitter Miller who thumped 32 praised his partner Shankar for playing a sublime 51-run knock saying that it was wonderful to see him play. He further mentioned that chasing could be a little heroizing but they like it.

KKR batted well to reach 179 after Rahmanullah Gurbaz's powerful 81 took them to 179 but the score never proved to be enough as Shankar smacked five sixes.

"Thank you very much. The guys set up a great platform there. Chasing a game can get a little heroizing. But I think someone like Vijay was on the going. It was nice to be on the opposite side, watching the ball sail over the ropes.

"I feel its a dream come true. You can often play the game and move here to another. It's spectacular to play the game in front of this huge crowd and its a privilege to watch Vijay smack it away."

Gujarat's next encounter will be against Delhi Capitals on 2nd May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
