After a few months of inconsistent form, David Warner has announced the arrival of his old self with a blistering double century in his 100th Test match against South Africa. Warner stated at the Boxing Test that he's 'not done yet' and that he is highly motivated to perform well in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the Ashes next year.

It was certainly a rough year for Warner as he battled with a lean patch and unsuccessfully contested his captaincy ban. The former captain had also once stated that Test cricket would probably be the first to 'fall off' of his career but time proved him wrong.

Warner highly motivated

"I'm running faster than a lot of these youngsters in (the dressing room). So when they catch up to me then I might think about pulling the pin. The extra motivation for me is winning in India, and completely winning a series in England. I've been told by the coach and the selectors they'd like me to be there. I still know what energy I can bring to the team."

"Was there doubts? Yeah, of course, there was doubts in my mind. But for me, it was about just going out there and knowing that I've still got that hunger and determination because every time I rock up the training I've got it."

"I think once I've started losing that spark and energy around training and, you know, taking the mickey out of people, playing some jokes here and there ... I think that's when I probably know it's time."
