Indian wicket-keeper batter, Dinesh Karthik, has lauded the exceptional performance of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, stating that he is in the same league as Anil Kumble and Ravichandran Ashwin.

In the ongoing four-match Border-Gavaskar series, Jadeja claimed his second 10-wicket haul of his career, leading India to a 2-0 lead against Australia.

During a conversation with Cricbuzz, the cricketer turned commentator praised Jadeja's exceptional skills, highlighting that he is currently at the peak of his powers. As he passed the age of 30, Jadeja's performance has been so impressive that he instills great confidence in the team when they face fast bowling abroad.

Furthermore, the Indian veteran acknowledged that taking a ten-wicket haul in India is a rare achievement, but the Saurashtra-born cricketer appears to do it with remarkable consistency, placing him in the same league as the great bowlers Kumble and Ashwin.

The Tamil Nadu-based batter also expressed his empathy towards Jadeja, who had been sidelined from international cricket for six months owing to an injury. According to Karthik, the situation must have been extremely challenging for Jadeja, as he was well on his way to being a vital member of the World Cup team. However, the seasoned commentator lauded the way the all-rounder came back and demonstrated his exceptional talent in his unique way.

The 34-year-old’s performances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy have been nothing short of magnificent. In the Nagpur Test, Jadeja scored a half-century and claimed a five-wicket-haul. He followed this up with an outstanding performance in the recently-concluded Test in Delhi, taking his second-ever 10-wicket-haul, solidifying his status as one of India's most valuable cricketers.
