India batter Cheteshwar Pujara's sublime County form is not going to end any sooner as he continues to score hundreds for fun in England's premier domestic tournament. Captaining Sussex this season, Pujara recorded his first ton of the County Championship 2023 against Durham.

The veteran has backed that up with another century as he leads Sussex's charge in the first innings of the ongoing fixture versus Gloucestershire at County Ground, Bristol.

Pujara was batting 99* when Day 2 came to a close. He did not waste any moment in breaking through the three-figure milestone as a cover drive and a single in the first delivery he faced on Day 3 allowed him an opportunity to raise his bat.

This accounted for Pujara's seventh hundred including three doubles in County cricket and also his 58th first-class century which saw him leave Wasim Jaffer behind in the list.

The 35-year-old is all but certain to bat a number three for India in the upcoming World Test Championship final. His current form would put him in a good stead to come good against Australia at Kennington Oval, London.

Pujara eventually got dismissed on 151 runs, with Sussex declaring their first-innings at 455/5.
