Bangladesh can expect to win home series against England: Taskin Ahmed

Bangladesh are a force to be reckoned with at home across formats. Ahead of the ODI and T20I series against visiting England, pacer Taskin Ahmed believes that Bangladesh can win at home, regardless of how strong the opposition is.

Bangladesh has won 13 of their last 14 ODI series at home and beat India in their last 50-over assignment in December. As far as the T20Is are concerned, hosts Bangladesh have won three out of their last five series, which includes wins over Australia and New Zealand.

As quoted by Cricbuzz, Taskin admitted that England are a bigger team, but won't have an easy time.

Here's what Taskin said

"Certainly it won't be easy against them (England) and they are a bigger team (compared to us) in every format. But we have the belief that we are a very strong side in our own backyard and we expecting to fight with them.

"Everything cannot go by logic and I feel whoever plays good cricket on a particular day will win. Certainly if you consider everything then they are far ahead than us but at the same time because we are playing at home we can expect to win the series."

The white-ball matches will be played in two venues - Chattogram and Dhaka, with the first ODI starting on March 1.
