Kuldeep Yadav stated that he was nervous to start his spell but eventually got into the groove.

Day 2 of the first Test match between Bangladesh and India certainly belonged to Kuldeep, who showed his worth with both bat & ball.

The Chinaman scalped 4 for 33 to take his side into a strong position at the end of the day's play. He read the surface and used his variations to perfection, taking the wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Nurul Hasan and Taijul Islam to push the hosts on the back-foot.

Speaking to the official broadcaster after the game, Kuldeep explained his game-play and the mindset that he had while bowling.

"I was a bit nervous at the start. I was a bit lucky to get the first wicket in the first over. After a couple of overs, I started feeling well. I was mixing my deliveries and was getting good turn as well. I haven't done much with my actions.

It has been a year now, just trying to get better with the rhythm which has helped me with the pace and turn. I have been working on both the angles over and around. I tried that when I played for India A a few months ago. So bowling around the wicket was good," Kuldeep said.

At the end of Day 2, Bangladesh are 133 for 8 and still trail 271 with a follow-on looming over.
