Deep Dasgupta, Waqar Younis and Sanjay Banger with journalist Vimal Kumar
Former Pakistan legend Waqar Younis during an interaction with journalist Vimal Kumar on OneCricket's Love of Cricket put his thoughts forward on Mohd. Hafeez's remark on Rohit Sharma as a captain.
During a live show, Hafeez mentioned that Rohit's body language wasn't looking great as a skipper, and he might not be able to lead his side for longer.
Younis, contrary to his countrymen Hafeez, praised Rohit and said he is doing well as a captain. He also mentioned that everyone has good or bad form, and it shouldn't be a worrying sign as his future looks bright. Waqar also added that he values the Indian skipper a lot as a leader.
"Everyone has their own viewpoint (on Hafeez's comment). I really like Rohit as a leader and as a batter. Whoever said, he may also have gone through bad form or bad time if he played cricket.
"But I think Rohit is playing well, I don't think he is doing anything wrong in any of his basics. Sometimes you get out without playing a bad shot. Cricket is tricky at times. I still believe Rohit has a long future."
