The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced a 14-man squad for England's three-match T20I series against Pakistan which is scheduled to begin on 28 August at Old Trafford, Manchester.
While Ben Stokes will not be available due to his personal commitments, fast bowler Mark Wood, Sam Curran and Jos Buttler could not make the cut due to bubble restrictions.
Sam Billings, Tom Banton and David Willey would like to make the most of this opportunity and perform better to make the selection difficult for the upcoming Australian series.
Apart from these players making the cut, youngster Matthew Parkinson missed out on an opportunity as he could not keep his place in the team post the South Africa tour.
All the three matches will be played at Old Trafford with the first two being played on 28 and 30 August respectively, while the last one on 1st September.
Pakistan have not yet announced their squad.
England squad: Eoin Morgan (Captain), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Denly, Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, David Willey, Tom Curran, Lewis Gregory, Saqib Mahmood, Jason Roy
