Members of KKR contingent might face heat for old Twitter posts

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) after having completed an enquiry into the Biso-Security Environment breach in the Dhaka Premier Division T20 tournament, have warned the Mohammadedn Sporting and its skipper Shakib Al Hasan for the mistake.
A hearing was set up with officials from BCB and CCDM attending it alongside Mohammedan officials and the Shakib on Tuesday, June 8. It was decided in that meeting to warn the team and the player.
CCDM Chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed said, “Mohammedan Club officials have acknowledged that it was a clear mistake on its part and has assured us that such slip-ups will not occur again. We have taken into consideration the circumstances and have notified the club that any future breach will result in strict disciplinary measures.”
The issue pertains to holding an individual practice session of Mohammedan Sporting Club player Shakib Al Hasan on 04 June 2021.
“We have also increased security vigilance so that the BSE protocol is not compromised. The BCB and CCDM have made extensive arrangements to ensure that BSE standards are met. Everyone should respect that for their own safety and protection,” Inam added.
The Dhaka Premier Division T20 League is now in its 5th round, having started on May 31. As things stand after six rounds, Mushfiqur Rahim led Abahani Dhaka are at the top of the table while Anamul Haque Bejoy led Prime Bank Cricket Club are at the second spot. Shakib’s club, with three wins and three losses, is at the fifth spot. All the matches are being played at the three grounds including the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
