England managed a spirited comeback in the ongoing 'The Ashes' 2023 series, winning the third Test at Headingley on Sunday by three wickets. This win has ensured that Ben Stokes and Co. are still alive in the series, where visitors Australia lead 2-1.

Australian skipper Pat Cummins speaking after the conclusion of the Leeds Test stated that the management is keeping all options open for selection for the Manchester Test.  As quoted by The Age, Cummins, responding to a query about David Warner, who had a torrid time against Stuart Broad in the third Test, claimed that Australia would look at the conditions and then think about selection.

Warner scored four and one, respectively, getting out to Broad both times, taking his tally up to 17 dismissals for the England pacer.

Here's what Cummins said

“You keep all options open, We’ve got nine or 10 days now, so we’ll take a deep breath. We’ll kind of go away for a few days, but everyone comes back into it. Greeny should be fit for Manchester, Josh [Hazlewood] will be back in there as well. So we should have a full roster. We’ll look at the wicket, have a chat, and work out the best 11.”

Several former players have suggested that Mitchell Marsh moves to open the batting with Usman Khawaja, and Cameron Green comes into the XI for out-of-form Warner.

Overall, in 3 Tests, the 36-year-old has managed just 141 runs with one solitary fifty.

The fourth Test at Old Trafford commences on July 19, with the fifth and final match taking place on July 27 at The Oval.
