Chennai Super Kings (CSK) qualified for their 10th Indian Premier League (IPL) final, beating defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday evening by 15 runs. Led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK finished the IPL 2023 league stage second on the table with 17 points.

The four-time IPL winning side await the winner of Qualifier 2, with both teams clashing on Sunday at Narendra Modi Stadium for the coveted trophy. Former CSK player and current bowling coach Dwayne Bravo, in a post-match interview, jokingly said that they fear Mumbai Indians (MI), who have been a thorn in their championship aspirations several times.

MI in three IPL finals (2013, 2015, and 2019), holds a 3-0 record over CSK and also have won 20 out of 36 IPL matches between the two arch-rivals.

Speaking to Star Sports, Bravo said that personally, he wouldn't want to go up against MI, while wishing all the other three franchises best of luck.

Here's what Bravo said

“No, I am scared of Mumbai (laughs). We don’t see it like that. All three other teams are dangerous teams. They are quality teams. Yeah, I mean, honestly, my personal feeling, I don’t want Mumbai. My friend Pollard knows that. But, jokes aside, all the best to the other teams. We are looking forward to whoever we are going to face. I think we have got it.”

Interestingly,  in the ongoing season, CSK won both their matches against MI by convincing margins.

MI beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a massive 81-run margin in Eliminator, and will now face Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 2 on Friday.
