Mumbai Indians (MI) will be at loggerheads with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday. The result of the tie will determine who will progress further and face Gujarat at Ahmedabad. However, Chennai's weather doesn't seem nice at the moment.

There are forecast rain showers in Chennai from 7 PM to 3 AM, which may ruin the play between Mumbai and Lucknow. A leading weather application shows a 30% prediction for eight hours, with thunderstorms expected around 5 PM.

Meanwhile, if the game gets washout, Lucknow will advance to Qualifier 2 as the finished over MI on the points table. However, there is a slight chance for that to happen.

Talking about the two teams, the knockout tie is expected to be a cliffhanger. Earlier in the tournament, when LSG & MI met, the former side had the better of the five-time champions; and Mumbai are yet to beat Lucknow in the IPL.

However, MI become a completely-different unit in playoffs as they have won 10 out of 13 knockout games under Rohit Sharma.
