The Kohli-Gambhir-Naveen-ul-Haq saga has been the talk of the town in IPL 2023 and everytime LSG plays, there are chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' greeting Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq. In the 68th game of IPL 2023 between KKR and LSG at Eden Gardens, we saw another glimpse of it, as the passionate KKR crowd chanted - Kohli, Kohli when Naveen-ul-Haq came out to bowl against KKR.
Naveen-ul-Haq actually bowled the second over after LSG posted a healthy score of 176 in the first innings. Jason Roy was on the strike but the crowd was in no mood to let go Naveen-ul-Haq without teasing him and soon the chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' started buzzing at the iconic Eden Gardens. The chants probably got into the head of Naveen-ul-Haq and he was smashed for a four, six and four in consecutive deliveries as KKR got off to a flier.
Naveen-ul-Haq went for 15 runs in his first over and was taken off the attack after just one over. Similar mocking of Gautam Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq happened at LSG’s home ground - Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. The same thing also happened in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, and all of this started following an ugly spat after the LSG-RCB game at Lucknow.
Kohli had an intense fight with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gambhir after that game, and it seems that the demons of that fight are following Naveen-ul-Haq and Gambhir wherever they go.
