Kolkata Knight Riders have a slim chance of qualifying for the playoffs, but provided they defeat the Lucknow Super Giants, and the other results that should go in their favour.

Unlike KKR, LSG's fate lies in their own hands. A win here will almost steer them through to the playoffs. However, rain god can spoil the fun tonight as there are cloud covers looming all over the Eden Gardens at the moment.

KKR vs LSG: Toss Updates

KKR won the toss and Nitish Rana has elected to bowl first, keeping in mind the rain threat.

Kolkata has witnessed plenty of rainfall in the last couple of days, and that affected Nitish Rana’s decision to bowl. Rana stated that KKR still have a glimmer of hope and they need to win by a big margin in order to have a shot at the knockouts.

The KKR skipper talked about the positives in this season, which includes Rinku Singh’s sensational season with the bat. They are playing with the same playing XI that defeated the CSK team.

On the other hand, Krunal Pandya said that he wanted to bowl first as well. He knows the task that lies ahead, considering the fact that LSG’s fate is still in their own hands.

The team has made a couple of changes, which includes exclusion of Deepak Hooda from the playing XI after a dismissal showing in the last couple of matches.
