Ace South African keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen unleashed his beast mode tonight, as he stunned Royal Challengers Bangalore with a scintillating century in his team's ongoing group-stage encounter in the IPL 2023. The swashbuckling batter, who rescued SRH from a precarious situation, roared with joy after completing his century with a massive six down the ground.

The incident took place in the 19th over, as RCB skipper Faf du Plessis brought his death-overs specialist Harshal Patel to trap Klaasen in his 90s. However, the decision backfired on the visitors instantly, as the Proteas batter struck a magnificent six down the ground to compile a well-deserved century.

It was a half-volley on the leg stump line from Patel, as Klaasen stepped out a few yards down the ground and hit it straight over the long on for a maximum to accomplish his maiden IPL ton. However, Patel took his revenge immediately, cleaning up the batter with a slow yorker in the penultimate delivery of the over.

During his 51-ball stay, Klaasen struck eight fours and six maximums, ensuring a challenging total for his side. After his departure, SRH couldn't get the final flourish, finishing on 186 for five in 20 overs.
