Both sides will meet for the first and only time in the league phase of the ongoing season. However, before the game goes live, here is a look at the SRH vs RCB head-to-head record.

But before diving into the head-to-head record of the two let us see how these two sides have fared in IPL 2023 so far.

SRH in IPL 2023

It's been yet another dismal campaign for the Orange Army as they became the second side after Delhi Capitals (DC) to get eliminated from the current season. With just 4 victories and 8 defeats in 12 games, they are just above DC in the ninth spot in the table. (All scenarios till Match No. 63). Notably, they endured a miserable season last year as they ended up in the eighth position.

Last Match: The Sunrisers played their last game against reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match No. 62 in Ahmedabad where the home side won the contest by a margin of 34 runs.

Captain Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to field first. It was all about Shubman Gill then as he smashed his maiden IPL century. The right-handed batter scored 101 off 58 with 13 fours and one maximum as the Titans reached a total of 188/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the lot for outstanding spell of 5/30 (4).

In reply, wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen top-scored for his side for his knock of 64 off 44 with rest of the batting line-up failing miserably. Seamers Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma picked up 4 scalps each as the Orange Army got restricted to 154/9. For his fabulous ton, Gill won the Player of the Match award.

RCB in IPL 2023

The Royal Challengers have blown hot and cold so far as they have played 12 matches with 6 victories and as many losses. With 12 points and a net run rate of +0.166, they are positioned fifth in the table. (All scenarios till Match No. 63)

Last Match: RCB met Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last game in Jaipur where the visitors thrashed the home side by a huge margin of 112 runs.

Skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bat first. He scored 55 off 44 while Glenn Maxwell struck a quickfire 54 off 33. Anuj Rawat remained not out on 29 off just 11 as the Royal Challengers posted a total of 171/5 on the board. Adam Zampa and KM Asif snared two scalps each for the Royals.

Chasing 172, RR's batting line-up crumbled miserably as they got bundled out cheaply for a mere 59 in 10.3 overs. With this, they registered the third-lowest total in the history of the competition. All the RCB bowlers were amongst the wickets with pacer Wayne Parnell the pick of the lost for his spell of 3/10 (3). For his solid bowling display upfront, the South African seamer grabbed the Player of the Match award.
