Mumbai Indians will take on Lucknow Super Giants in the 63rd game of the tournament at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, where the conditions for batters are tough. For this upcoming, erstwhile commentator Akash Chopra feels MI should drop the likes of Cameron Green, who was bought by the five-time champions for a whooping INR 17.50 Crore.

According to Chopra, Mumbai should replace Green with one of their best performers of the season Tilak Varma, who consistently delivered the goods till he got injured. The 21-year-old has missed Mumbai's last three matches due to a hamstring injury

"Play Tilak Varma if he is available. You can drop an overseas batter or a bowler, you can drop anyone because neither Cameron Green nor Tristan Stubbs nor anyone else you might want to play will be helpful on this pitch," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

The erstwhile commentator further commented that Indian players like Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Nehal Wadhera and Varma will be more helpful on tough pitches like Lucknow's.

"Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Nehal Wadhera, Tilak Varma - these are the guys who will win you the game if you win the match. It is important for Mumbai to win because if they win this match and the next as well, only one team can reach 18 points, that is Team Mumbai," he added.

Varma has been the best batter for Mumbai this season. He has scored 274 runs in nine games at an average of 45.67 and a strike rate of 158.38.

The Mumbai Indians are currently placed third in the points table with 14 points under their belt. If they win their remaining two league games against the Lucknow Super Giants and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai will finish in the top two and earn a place in Qualifier 1.
