Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) achieved an unbelievable victory in the 60th fixture of the IPL edition as they blew away Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a colossal margin of 112 runs. This was the biggest victory registered by any side in the ongoing IPL edition in terms of runs. Following the conclusion of this match, RR gained an unwanted record of bagging the third lowest team total in the history of IPL.

The Faf du Plessis led RCB batted first and put up a modest first innings total of 171. The RCB top order featuring the Kohli, du Plessis and Maxwell scored some handy runs at the top of the order. Anuj Rawat walked in to bat at number 6 and he smacked some lusty blows at the fag end of the innings to push the RCB score to 171.

There were no oblivious demons on the pitch and 172 looked well within the reach of the home side on a track which was still assisting the batters. But what followed was a horror batting show from RR as they were bundled out cheaply for just 59 inside a very short span of 10 overs. Barring Joe Root and Shimron Hetmyer, no one could withstand the aggression of the RCB bowlers as they all ended up getting dismissed for shambolic single digit scores.

Wayne Parnell was adjudged man of the match with his impressive figures of 3/10 in his three over spell.

Following their crushing victory, the Lucknow Super Giants IPL franchise were in awe and took to Twitter to post a one-word tweet with two emoticons, which immediately started doing the rounds on the internet.

The two teams have crossed paths on two occasions this tournament. Their most infamous encounter took place on May 1, where LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq were embroiled in a heated on-field altercation which took the cricketing fraternity by storm. With that win, RCB have significantly boosted their NRR and have certainly revived their hopes of making it to this year's playoffs.
