The 61st match of the IPL edition did not go as per plain for the Men in Yellow as they were comprehensively bamboozled by Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets. However, the score line did not matter much as the cricketing fraternity's attention directed their focus on Mahi who was potentially playing his last IPL season.

With speculations of his retirement from the cash league rich growing rife with each passing game, emotions were running high as Dhoni was leading his franchise one last time in front of his home crowd. He shared a lot of light moments on the field.

At first, the home side completed a special lap around the stadium thanking the crowd for their continuous love and support over the years. Then, the Captain Cool started his friendly interaction with the crowd by hitting some tennis balls into the stands before tossing a few jerseys.

The law enforcement officials also took this opportunity to meet Dhoni first hand and obtained his autograph after shaking hands with him. Cricketer turned commentator Sunil Gavaskar, was also full of excitement and ran upto him for his autograph. As a sign of immense respect, Gavaskar took his autograph on his T-shirt and showered a lot of praise for him.

This was indeed a very special moment between the two legends and the fans enjoyed every bit of it.

Talking about the game, Dhoni confessed that the dew was the deciding factor in yesterday's game as the CSK bowlers struggled to keep it tight during the second innings of the match.

“The dew made a big difference in the second innings. We can’t really blame any of our bowlers. Just that the conditions had a big impact on the game."

Nitish Rana (57* off 44) and Rinku Singh (54* off 43) stayed till the end to ensure a comfortable victory for KKR.  They live to fight another day and will and will face LSG in their next encounter on May 20.
