Veteran West Indies spinner Sunil Narine showcased his incredible skills for the umpteenth time, as he castled experienced batters Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali by two absolute rippers during Kolkata Knight Riders' ongoing face-off against Chennai Super Kings.
The incident took place in the eleventh over when KKR skipper Nitish Rana brought Narine back to break the backbone of CSK's batting. The wily spinner stood up to his captain's expectations, bamboozling Rayudu and Ali by two unplayable deliveries.
To start the over, Narine bowled an off-spin delivery, that pitched just outside the off stump and turned just enough to uproot his off stump. After Rayudu's departure, Ali joined Shivam Dube in the middle to steady the ship for the hosts.
However, he failed miserably in his mission, as he was deceived by a magical carrom ball, which turned sharply from the fifth stump line to shatter his timber.
Riding on Narine's exceptional spell, KKR pushed CSK on the back foot. However, Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja are trying their best to lead their team to a defendable total.
Unlike the previous matches, CSK's formidable batting lineup has failed to fire tonight, as they are reeling on 87 for five in 14 overs, with Dube and Jadeja batting on 15* and 4*, respectively.
