In a significant development, Cricket Australia has announced the schedule for the men's and women's national cricket teams for the 2023-24 home season. While the men's team will be involved in on-field battles against Pakistan and West Indies, their women counterparts will lock horns with West Indies and South Africa.

The Australian home season will start in October, with the women's team scheduled to take on three T20Is followed by as many ODIs against West Indies between the 1st and 15th of the month. After that, Meg Lanning and co. will play three T20Is, three ODIs and a solitary Test match against South Africa in January-February, 2024.

Meanwhile, the men's team will be in action in December, as they will cross swords against Pakistan in three Test matches in Perth (December 14-18), Melbourne (December 26-30) and Sydney (January 3-7). Following the Test series, the home team will host West Indies in a month-long tour comprising two Tests, three T20Is and three ODIs.

In a statement, Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley said:

“Cricket provides the sights and sounds of the summer and brings Australians together like no other sport and we can’t wait to welcome fans to watch world-class cricket next season,
