The finalists of the 2012 and 2021 editions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) go toe-to-toe in Match No. 61 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on a doubleheader Sunday, May 14, 2023, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai at 7.30 PM IST. The Super Kings beat the Knight Riders by 49 runs when both sides met earlier in the reverse fixture in Kolkata. However, before the game goes live, here is a look at the CSK vs KKR head-to-head record.

But before jumping into the head-to-head record of the two let us see how these two sides have performed in IPL 2023 so far.

Their one game with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ended on no result. With 15 points and a net run rate of +0.493, they are in the second position in the table. (All scenarios till Match No. 57)

Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali bowled tight spells of 1/19 and 0/16 respectively as the hosts restricted the Capitals to 140/8. Jadeja won the Player of the Match award for also scoring 21 off 16.

KKR in IPL 2023

Last Match: KKR played their last encounter against RR in Match No. 56 in Kolkata where spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal proved too much for the home side.

Skipper Sanju Samson won the toss as RR opted to bowl first. Venkatesh Iyer scored a half-century (57) and was the only player to cross the 25-run mark for his side. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal scripted history as he went past Dwayne Bravo's tally of 183 wickets in the league. The leading-wicket taker of the IPL picked up figures of 4/25 (4) as KKR got restricted to 149/8 in 20 overs.

In reply, Jaiswal made a mockery of the target as he hammered an unbeaten 98 off just 47 which included 13 fours and 5 maximums. Samson also remained not out on 48 off 29 as the Royals reached the target in just 13.1 overs. Jaiswal was adjudged with the Player of the Match award for his sensational hitting.
