The penultimate over of the first innings between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) saw an obnoxious call made by the third umpire Yeshwant Barde when pacer Avesh Khan bowled a waist-high full-toss. Abdul Samad, who was on strike, reviewed it straight away, but the TV umpire made an awful call, signalling it a legal delivery, which seemed like a no-ball by all means.

The decision made by Barde didn't go well with the legendary former batter Sunil Gavaskar, who was on commentary at the time of the incident, as he was found uttering - "What?"

Meanwhile, the home crowd wasn't pleased by the third umpire's act as they lost their temperament and started chanting 'Kohli, Kohli' sitting behind the Lucknow dugout. Apparently, some people from the stand also threw litter and nut & bolt onto the field.

LSG's mentor Gautam Gambhir and head coach Andy Flower, sitting in the dugout, could not take the disrespect and raised their concerns towards the match officials, only to pause the game briefly.

The drama didn't end there only as the TV umpire made another awful call in the subsequent over, calling a bouncer that went over the batter's head a fair delivery, citing Samad jumped off his ground.

Nevertheless, after all the on-field drama, the Sunrisers posted a par total of 182-6 after being put into bat.
