Rashid Khan Shatters Records Against MI, Joins Yuvraj Singh and Pollard In the Elite List

Rashid Khan, is a match-winner and there is no doubting that. He is considered one of the best spinners in the world currently but along with his bowling, he has also made lot of impact with his bat over the years.
In the game against MI at the Wankhede Stadium, Rashid Khan did something what very few people in the IPL have done before. He became just the fifth player to take four wickets and score a fifty in a single game of the IPL. His performance was the only shining light for GT in the game which was dominated by MI and in the end, despite Rashid's all-round brilliance, GT lost the game by 27 runs.
MI scored 218 runs while batting first courtesy of a scintillating century by Suryakumar Yadav but it would have been far worse for GT. It was Rashid who picked four wickets and gave away just 30 runs while all other bowlers were taken for plenty. However, Rashid's show for the day was not done and he unleashed his absolute best with the bat in the second half to take his team as close as possible to the target set by MI.
Rashid Khan came out to bat at number 8 with GT in all sorts of trouble at 100 for 6 but Rashid did not give up and kept smashing it all around the park. He smashed 10 sixes on his way to 79 off 32 balls and out of 91 runs that were scored after Rashid came out to bat, the Afghan scored 79 of those.
This fantastic all-round performance has helped him join the elite list of cricketers who have scored a fifty and taken four wickets in a match. He also became the third cricketer to achieve that feat in a losing cause.
