Batting wonderfully well for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Yashasvi Jaiswal has lit up the Indian Premier League (IPL) on many occasions this season, most recently against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where he thumped the fastest half-century in the history of the tournament taking just 13 balls and later, ended the game for his side by scoring an unbeaten 98.

The game ended in 13.1 overs as skipper Sanju Samson scored a quick-fire 48 whereas Jaiswal remained two short of what could have been his second IPL century.

After the game, the southpaw cleared that he wasn't thinking about his century as their only target was to finish the game as quickly as possible in a bid to boost their Net Run Rate.

"I think the net run rate was the only thing in our mind, me and Sanju were only talking about finishing the game quickly,"

Moreover, Jaiswal also talked about the Jos Buttler run-out, mentioning that it's a part and parcel of the game. Adding that, Sanju was motivating him to forget about it and rather concentrate on the game.

"I think it happens in the game, it gives me responsibility to do even better. And Sanju bhai came and said to keep playing my game, and not think about that run out,"

In the end, he praised the league for giving opportunities to talents like him as many are able to fulfil their dreams because of it.

"I'm just grateful for a tournament like the IPL where youngsters like me can come and perform. This has been a great platform for players like me to fulfill my dreams."

Post this dominating victory, RR will next play Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 14th May.
