Swashbuckling West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer showcased his incredible athleticism, as he plucked a sensational catch at the deep square leg fence to send Jason Roy packing for a low score during Rajasthan Royals' ongoing group-stage face-off against Kolkata Knight Riders.

After being put into bat first, KKR got off to a steady start, as Jason Roy safely negotiated the first over from Trent Boult. After Sandeep Sharma kept Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the back foot in the second over, Boult came back to draw the first blood for the Royals, dismissing Roy, who was looking good in the middle.

The veteran speedster from New Zealand bowled an off-pace delivery, which was well-timed by Roy. The ball flew towards the deep square leg and was about to clear the fence. However, Shimron Hetmyer covered some considerable distance to grab a spectacular running catch at the boundary, taking all the limelight.

After Roy's departure, Gurbaz tried his best to turn things into his side's favour. However, after playing couple of eye-catching shots, the explosive batter from Afghanistan was caught by Sandeep Sharma off Boult's bowling for a 12-ball 18.

As a result of Boult's magnificent opening spell, KKR are reeling at 29 for two at the time of writing.
