Making a return from injury is not easy, however, Deepak Chahar is managing to prove otherwise. Chahar, who is crucial to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling plans, made a successful comeback from injury and continued his form against Delhi Capitals (DC) last evening as well at Chepauk.

Chahar injured his hamstring last month against Mumbai Indians and made his return against Lucknow Super Giants last week. He claimed the wickets of David Warner and Philip Salt last evening, denting DC's chance of chasing down 168, where CSK eventually won by 27 runs.

Speaking to Jio Cinema, the CSK seamer revealed that he is still not 100 percent fit post his hamstring injury. The Indian pacer has been troubled with injuries for the past year and a half.

Chahar also opened up about how skipper MS Dhoni instructed him to bowl slow and swing the ball upfront against Delhi.

Here's what Chahar said

"It is very difficult with injuries, every time you get injured you start from zero. Still not 100% but trying to do a job to contribute to the team. It was swinging nicely and at the same time, the pitch was slow. I had a chat with Mahi bhai, when the wickets are getting slower, you don't need to bowl fast, bowl slow and swing it, it's difficult for the batters to get the boundaries in the powerplay, he said,"

CSK placed comfortably second in the IPL 2023 points table, faces Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
