Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals will take on each other in the 55th group-stage match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Although CSK are in sublime form and will start as the favourites, DC have peaked of late and would like to upset the four-time champions.

Meanwhile, ahead of this fascinating clash, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has expected a turning track at the iconic MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.

As quoted by Sportskeeda, Chopra reckoned that the surface at the venue would assist the spinners to the core. Furthermore, he opined that Ajinkya Rahane might struggle to get going, as he often finds it difficult to bat fearlessly on such decks.

Here's what Chopra said

"The Chepauk square has pitches on one side with some red soil. So more runs are scored there. I feel those matches are over. Now they will not get them to play there. You will see a pitch that will turn even more. Ajinkya Rahane might have some problems but the rest of the batters will not have any problems."

Notably, Rahane has enjoyed stellar success in the IPL 2023, amassing 245 runs at a healthy average of 40.83 and a blistering strike rate of 181.48. However, he has been quiet in his last two innings, managing scores of 15 and 21.

Speaking of CSK, the MS Dhoni-led outfit occupies the second position in the IPL 2023 points table with six victories in eleven appearances. So, they will try their best to secure another win and consolidate their place in the top two when they take on the Capitals tonight.
