In a season that has been full of highs and lows, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued to keep their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 title hopes alive, after beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) last evening in a close encounter. Eden Gardens witnessed yet another thriller, where the trio of Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, and Rinku Singh set up KKR's last-ball win over PBKS, chasing 180.

Singh, once again, stood up to the pressure, and scored a four on the final delivery of the match, to continue his dream run in the IPL 2023. Former India opener Aakash Chopra has praised Singh for his knock and called him the " best finisher in town" following KKR's win on Monday.

The 25-year-old announced himself to the world after smashing five sixes in a row in the final over against Gujarat Titans (GT), needing 29 to win. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra further lauded Rana and Russell as well, for their contributions.

Here's what Chopra said

"RRR - first comes Rana, then comes Russell, and in the end comes Rinku, the best finisher in town. It doesn't make a difference to him. He doesn't feel any pressure. The guy once again won the match by hitting a four. Now he has developed the habit of winning games.

Nitish Rana scored a fifty. Andre Russell was promoted slightly up the order. This team is not saying that Andre Russell is just a finisher and then Andre in, ball out. He was brilliant and so was Rinku Singh in the end."

Singh is the leading run-getter for KKR this season, with 337 runs in 11 matches, at an astounding strike rate of 151.12.

The Aligarh-born will be next in action for KKR against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday in their penultimate home game.
