Matheesha Pathirana has been the find of the tournament for the Chennai Super Kings. An incredible talent, Pathirana was hand-picked by skipper MS Dhoni and has been nurtured under his astute guidance.
The Sri Lankan seamer has gone from strength to strength and has been compared with fellow Sri Lankan, Lasith Malinga for the slinging action. Moreover, his ability to bowl pinpoint yorker has drawn parallel with Malinga.
Pathirana showcased his yorker accuracy with the wicket of Nehal Wadhera in the ongoing match against the Mumbai Indians.

In the 18th over, Mumbai batter Nehal Wadhera wanted to target the CSK seamer and tried something cheeky by premeditating his shuffle across the stumps. This exposed all three stumps for Pathirana to aim at as the pace bowler delivered one of the finest yorkers of the season and gave no chance for Wadhera to get a bat on it.
Wadhera missed his connection, but Pathirana was spot on as the ball struck the root of ther stumps, much to the delight of MS Dhoni.
At the time of writing, Mumbai Indians are 139 for 8 inside the allotted 20 overs. Barring Wadhera (64 off 51), no one else contributed much as MI finished on a below-par score.
