On Sunday, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants will cross swords against each other in the 51st group-stage fixture of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. The high-octane clash will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans occupy the top position in the IPL 2023 points table with seven wins, while LSG are placed second, winning five of their nine matches. However, the Super Giants have suffered a massive blow with skipper KL Rahul ruled out of the tournament due to a thigh injury.

As the venue gears up for this fixture, let's see its IPL records and ground stats over the years.

Narendra Modi Stadium IPL records & Ground Stats

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has hosted 23 IPL matches, with the first of them all played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders on 20th March 2010.

It has been a happy-hunting ground for the chasing teams, who have emerged victorious on 13 occasions as opposed to 10 by the teams batting first.

The highest-ever team total recorded is 207 by KKR against GT, while Rajasthan Royals hold the record for the lowest-ever total of 102 at the venue.

The average scoring rate reads a reasonably good 8.20, indicating the track's conduciveness for batting.

However, the seamers will get some movement off the deck early on with the new ball. Considering how the wicket has behaved so far, whoever wins the toss will elect to bowl first.
