Mumbai Indians' Tilak Varma, has been ruled out of the IPL clash against the Chennai Super Kings. Rohit Sharma, the skipper of MI stated that Tilak has been injured (cause is still unknown) and he won't feature against the Super Kings.

South Africa's Tristan Stubbs has replaced Tilak and will play his second game of the season. Interestingly, he played his first match of the season against the Super Kings.

Tilak has been MI’s best batter this season. The elegant southpaw has racked up 274 runs in 9 matches, at a strike-rate of 158.38.

Who won the toss?

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and MS Dhoni elected to bowl first. The CSK skipper stated that with the rain prediction hovering around, it’s a wise decision to have a set target in front. The Super Kings have gone in with the same playing XI that featured against Lucknow Super Giants.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have handed Raghav Goyal a debut chance, with the off-spinner on the substitute bench for this match.
