After decimating the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for just 118, Gujarat Titans (GT) have sent in their star batter Shubman Gill to bat after not being in the first eleven. The impact player replaces pacer Mohit Sharma who just bowled five balls in the game as spinners did most of the job.

Gill has been in sublime form with 339 runs in nine innings before this game where he batted with a strike rate of 136 and averaged 38.5. The right-hander with classy batting has recorded three fifties so far.

Along with him, his opening partner Wriddhiman Saha has been batting decently scoring some crucial runs in the powerplay.

Earlier, Royals won the toss and opted to bat first at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium where the Gujarat spinners exploited the conditions bowling out the home side for a score below 120. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed were way too good for the opposition making their lives difficult.

On the other hand, Mohit has been consistent with the ball bagging eight wickets in seven matches while bowling at an economy under seven.

By the time of writing, GT were 24 for no loss after the completion of four overs.
