Jofra Archer Attains an 'Infamous' Bowling Feat After Livingstone's Fireworks

Experienced Mumbai Indians pacer Jofra Archer had a forgettable outing in his side's ongoing group-stage fixture against Punjab Kings, as he went for plenty in his four-over spell. Archer was lacklustre with his line and length and conceded 56 runs, thus recording his most expensive over in the IPL history.

Archer has been struggling with his fitness for since 2021 and missed out on the IPL last season due to the same reason. However, despite being declared fit and getting back into action this year, the English speedster is yet to create an impact in the tournament. He has struggled with the ball even in the power play, a phase where he generally thrives.

After being hammered by Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis in the first game against RCB, Archer blew hot and cold in his second game against Rajasthan Royals. However, he hit an all-time low with the ball tonight, being smashed all around the park, especially by his national teammate, Liam Livingstone.

Notably, Livingstone unleashed his vintage best and hit Archer for three huge sixes. As a result of his stupendous hitting, the Barbados-born registered his most expensive IPL spell, finishing on none for 56 in four overs.

Livingstone's brutal half century powered PBKS to a massive total of 214 runs. As of writing, MI have got off to a poor start, being placed at 22 for 1 in 2.4 overs.
