Delhi Capitals (DC) were in early trouble after they lost half their side inside the powerplay and somehow managed to recover well to post a total of 130 on the board. In return, Gujarat Titans (GT) were handy blows at the start of their innings and were never able to come out of it as they fell short by meagre five runs in the end.

DC skipper David Warner was honest with his opinions in saying that he has no idea what is happening with their batting as they kept finding ways to lose wickets here and there. Moreover, he reckoned that they tried to play with a positive mindset today which didn't actually paid off with the bat.

However, the Australian praised his teammates Ripal Patel and Aman Khan took the responsibility to score runs and take their team to a respectable total helped them big time.

"Our bowlers were amazing. Our batters struggled early on. Shami presented a good seam. We lost early wickets. But Aman and Ripal played the anchor role. It was a fantastic way to finish our innings. We just keep finding ways to keep losing wickets. I don't know what's happening with our batting honestly. We tried to have a positive intent today with the bat but it didn't come off eventually,"

Also, the senior pro lauded left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed for his brilliant spell early on along with experienced Ishant Sharma who defended 12 runs off the final over as the game got really tense when Anrich Nortje got hit for three sixes in the nineteenth.

"We wanted to swing the new ball and get wickets. Khaleel was brilliant on this comeback and Ishant is getting forever younger. I was getting nervous when Tewatia was going off. Nortje could not get it right today but Ishant was always clear what plans he wanted to execute."

After this victory, Warner's Capitals will next face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 6th May at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
