GT vs DC | Mohammed Shami Registers his Best-Ever Figure in the IPL ; DC Bamboozled

Mohammed Shami is a world-class bowler and there is no doubting that. In the white-ball cricket, there are very few in world cricket who can match his talent with the new ball and has been in great form for GT in the 2023 season. He was brilliant in the 2022 season as well and picked 20 wickets while in the this season, he has picked 17 wickets in just 9 matches sitting at the top of the leading wicket-takers list this season.
In the ongoing game between GT and DC, Shami wreaked havoc with his stellar swing and seam bowling and got four wickets in his first three overs in the Powerplay. He started with a wicket in the very first ball of the game of Philip Salt and then made the ball talk with his upright seam position to send Rossouw, Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg back to the pavilion. The fact that all those three wickets were caught behind by the keeper, Saha, shows the quality of Shami - the new ball bowler!
He bowled his four wickets on the trot in the first spell itself and finished with the figures of 4/11 in his four overs. DC had also a wicket around that Shami carnage via a run out of David Warner and were reduced for 23-5 at one point in time.
Shami has now taken the most wickets in the Powerplay this season - 12 wickets. These are great signs for India, as WTC is just around the corner.
Talking about this match, DC are in all sorts of trouble, and at the time of writing, they are 40-5 at the end of 8 overs with Axar Patel and Aman Khan looking to bring some parity to the innings.
