The aftermath of the ugly spat between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir after the completion of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has resulted in both getting slapped with fines as per the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct. Kohli and Gambhir have been fined 100 percent of their match fee after both former India and Delhi teammates confronted each other in the post-match customary handshake at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow last evening.

Apart from these two, LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has also been fined 50 percent of his match fees. While Afghanistan's Haq has been charged with a Level 1 offence, Kohli and Gambhir have been charged with a Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the CoC.

During LSG's chase, Haq exchanged heated conversation with Kohli in the 17th over, which continued even after the match, as the former brushed the latter aside after a handshake.

Then, Kyle Mayers who was seen chatting with Kohli, was taken away by Gambhir, while giving a mouthful to this Delhi junior. Kohli, not one to back down, came face-to-face with Gambhir, where players from both teams intervened and took both aside.

RCB batting first managed to post merely 126 runs, which they defended on a slow and low track, beating the home side LSG by 18 runs.
