SunRisers Hyderabad skipper Aiden Markram was full of praise for his teammates after the Orange Army claimed a clinical 9-run win over the Delhi Capitals at the Kotla on Saturday night.

Blistering knocks from opener Abhishek Sharma (67 off 36) and Heinrich Klaasen (53 off 27) set-up the 9-run win against DC as they propelled SRH to what proved to be an above par score of 197/6 in 20 overs.

While Markram lauded his Proteas teammate, Klaasen for his brilliant knock at the backend, he asserted that it was Abhishek's power-packed display at the top of the order, which set the real tone for their innings.

Here's what Aiden Markram said:

'Great team effort, good to see the guys show good skills and character. I don't mind getting things wrong if the approach is right. It helps to see such performances, the guys will see that results are there to be had. Credit to the way the team has responded. Klassy has been in great form, and Abhishek did the hard work early on. Klassy backs himself to play that way, good to see it pay off,"

Defending 197, SRH looked in a spot bother when Mitch Marsh and Phil Salt were going all guns blazing. But, a stunning caught & bowled from Mayank Markande helped them break the partnership.

Markram acknowledged it as one of the turning points during the post-match presentation. He signed off by stating that this victory will serve as a tonic for the players.

"We needed wickets to get back in the game, the two were doing well and it needed a special catch from Mayank. Fortunately, the ball was stopping a bit and the bowlers showed great character to execute their spells. This win will give great confidence, now we travel back home and try to build on this."

Apart from taking that stunning catch, Markande also bowled a game-changing spell, which read: 4-0-20-2.

SRH will now head home to host the Knight Riders on May 04.
