Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Dhruv Jurel spoke on sharing the field with MS Dhoni, saying it was a "dream" for him until Thursday's clash. As Rajasthan Royals won the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 32 runs, Jurel played a useful cameo that helped his team finish at 202/5.

While after a fiery start, Sanju Samson and Co. looked to have lost the plot in the middle-overs, Jurel ensured that RR set an above-par total with his 15-ball 34.

"I'm fortunate enough to share the field with MS Dhoni. Since childhood, I have always dreamt of it while watching him represent the nation. I don't feel the pressure; I feel motivated. He's behind me, and he's watching me, that's enough for me," Jurel said in the post-match press conference.

"I'm feeling really good and happy that we won the match. It's a much-needed win for us. My mantra is to bat, and rest will take care of itself. I just played the situation and I've done three-four hours of batting every day. I make sure I'm getting something from my batting," he added.

Interestingly, the 22-year-old had to walk back to the dressing room as Dhoni ran him out. However, he has been the find of the season for Rajasthan. In IPL 2023, Jurel has scored 130 runs at a strike-rate of nearly 197.

As for RR, they are currently leading the points table with five wins in eight matches. They will next face Mumbai Indians on April 30 at Wankhede Stadium.
