In the season that is looked at as MS Dhoni's last dance in the Indian Premier League, the stadium is turning yellow wherever Chennai Super Kings are travelling. The sea of yellow even reached Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata following their iconic cricketer, Dhoni.

Although the 41-year-old Chennai captain got to face just a mere 3 balls - as Ajinkya Rahane, Devon Conway, and Shivam Dube carried the carnage - the Eden Gardens' crowd cheered their heart out when Thala came out to the crease in the last over.

Alongside MSD's 68,000 admirers present at Eden, there was another one, donning the Purple and Golden jersey and sitting in the opposite dugout.

During the first innings, KKR's Venkatesh Iyer was seen imitating the 'Dhoni, Dhoni' chants.

On Sunday, the Chennai batters thwacked the KKR bowlers all across the park, putting on the highest ever total at Eden - 235-4, thanks to blistering Rahane's 71*, Dube's explosive half-century and Conway's eye-pleasing 56.

Responding to the mighty total, Kolkata lost first two wickets cheaply, before Iyer found a partner in skipper Rana. However, the duo could stand tall against Dhoni's shrewd captaincy.

Helping KKR's cause, Jason Roy played a blinder - a 61 off 26 balls - batting at number 5, but he couldn't last long under pressure.

After 16 overs, Kolkata are at 156-5, needing 80 runs off the last five overs, with Andre Russell and Rinku Singh being the unbeaten batters.
