On Monday, the IPL fanatics will witness the battle between bottom-sitters, as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals will lock horns with each other in the 33rd group-stage match of the tournament. The iconic Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad will host this face-off. 


Team Preview: Sunrisers Hyderabad

Despite having a formidable lineup, Sunrisers Hyderabad have failed to make their mark in the IPL 2023, occupying the ninth position in the points table with only two wins in six matches. While their batters have been inconsistent, the SRH bowlers have also let them down, being unable to strike at crucial junctures. 

More importantly, SRH have lost two of their three home games owing to poor cricket on Hyderabad's two-paced surface. So, although the intent is there, the execution needs to meet the expectations.

On a similar note, Delhi Capitals have also been sub-par in the tournament, losing five of their six group-stage fixtures. However, they finally managed a victory, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in a low-scoring thriller on Thursday. 

While their decision to include Ishant Sharma in the playing XI worked wonders, David Warner emerged as their saviour yet again to script a much-needed win for the Capitals. However, plenty of improvement is desired from their star batters, especially Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh, who are yet to step up with the bat this season.
