Cricket Ireland has named a 14-man men's national squad for their upcoming three-match One-Day International series against visiting Bangladesh next month. Led by Andy Balbirnie, Ireland has included speedster Joshua Little, participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 for Gujarat Titans.

Automatic qualification for the ICC World Cup 2023 is at stake for Ireland, and a 3-0 whitewash will put them directly in the mega event later this year in India. The series begins on May 9 and will be played at Chelmsford.

As a result, Little will miss Gujarat's clashes against Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad and will join the Irish side post the Titans' clash against the Rajasthan Royals on May 5.

The likes of Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Andy McBrine, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, and Lorcan Tucker feature in the squad.

Craig Young returns to the side after a long injury layoff.

The National Men's Selector Andrew White sounded excited about the series after a tough Bangladesh tour last month.

Here's what White said

"We are pleased to also have the services of Josh Little, who has been playing in the IPL over the last month,

"After a tough tour to Bangladesh last month, the lads will be keen to show their talent and skills in more familiar conditions – and with potential world cup qualification on the line, they will need no additional motivation to succeed."
